Notes: After a second U.S. leg in January, Bruce took the The Ghost of Tom Joad Tour to Europe, and, as Bruce usually does, shook things up on the other side of the big pond. The London shows at Brixton Academy and Royal Albert Hall included many surprises, including the premieres (believe it or not) of "The Angel" from the Greetings album and a new song called "Pilgrim in the Temple of Love," also called "Santa Gets a Blow Job." Another highlight of the European tour was the totally reworked "The Promised Land," which featured Bruce using his guitar as more of a percussion instrument. However, the "New Promised Land," as some fans call it, must be heard live to be fully appreciated. Available on the CD "Brixton Night," which also includes bonus tracks from the other London shows.
